About this opportunity

We’re not a typical bank. We focus on practical innovation that improves how people manage their money. You’ll join the Unsecured Personal Loans & Affordability team, which manages the UK’s largest unsecured lending business across the Lloyds, Halifax, BOS and MBNA brands. We work quickly, collaborate closely, and are leading major improvements across the Retail Bank.

We aim to deliver simple, effective customer experiences using modern technology. Our teams work in an agile way, making regular, meaningful changes that benefit customers.

We’re transforming the unsecured personal loans business—its technology, operations and customer journeys. This includes building new core systems, strengthening operational capability, working across many teams and suppliers, and moving to modern platforms.

We’re looking for an experienced Programme Lead able to coordinate large-scale change and migration activity across multiple business areas, functions and third‑party partners.

What you’ll do
  • Lead high risk deliveries that involve multiple internal and external parties, ensuring safe and effective implementation.
  • Work with teams across the Group to make sure major initiatives, including regulatory change, are prioritised across product backlogs.
  • Collaborate with other Integrators and platform teams to manage complex integration work and identify key integration points.
  • Track delivery progress by working closely with backlog owners to monitor timelines and dependencies.
  • Identify major delivery risks early and work with senior stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Act as an escalation point for issues and help teams resolve cross‑platform challenges.
  • Manage third party suppliers and addresses underperformance.
About us

We’re on an exciting journey and there couldn’t be a better time to join us. The investments we’re making in our people, data, and technology are leading to innovative projects, fresh possibilities, and countless new ways for our people to work, learn, and thrive.

What you’ll need
  • Proven track record delivering complex, high‑risk programmes involving multiple internal teams and third parties, with strong governance and safe implementation.
  • Integration delivery expertise across platforms — able to map key integration points, manage dependencies and data flows, and collaborate effectively with other Integrators and Platform teams.
  • Strong Agile delivery skills — backlog prioritisation and road mapping with Product Owners/Platform Leads, progress tracking (e.g., Jira/Azure Dev Ops), and cross‑team dependency management.
  • Risk, issue and escalation management — spotting major delivery risks early, driving mitigations, and unblocking cross‑platform challenges with senior stakeholders.
  • Supplier and stakeholder management — holding third‑party suppliers to account on performance/SLAs and influencing senior stakeholders, including in regulated environments.
