2nd Line Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our professional services team within our Cloud and Infrastructure practice. This role is primarily focused on the implementation of solutions within Valto’s delivery stack, from designs and content created by our Architects and Consultants. Additionally, our Cloud Engineers play a crucial role in product development and are encouraged to actively contribute to these initiatives.

This role involves direct engagement in customer implementations, initially with support escalations for key solutions and customers. Over time, the Cloud Engineer’s responsibilities are expected to evolve, becoming more consultative within the team.

Cloud Engineers are anticipated to be 80% billable, with projects assigned through our PMO function, working closely with project technical leads such as Consultants or Architects.

Perform the role of Delivery Engineer within the Cloud and Infrastructure practice, covering the following workloads:

• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft Purview
• Microsoft Teams Voice and Telephony
• Microsoft Entra
• Defender and Microsoft Sentinel

Alongside:

• Deliver Microsoft tenant migration projects ranging from 100 to 10,000 seats.
• Generate new product ideas, drive them through the Innovation Forum and manage products throughout their lifecycle.
• Innovate on existing products by leveraging new features and technologies, either as core amendments or additional services.
• Collaborate with Consultants and Architects to continuously learn new skills and technologies.
• Implement technologies outside the standard product set when existing knowledge aligns.
• Actively seek improvements in both personal and organisational knowledge to continuously enhance processes and solutions.
• Provide support to the managed services team for key infrastructure and customers.

Experience and knowledge:

• Windows 11, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365
• SCCM, co-management, hybrid devices and migration to Intune from SCCM or third-party platforms
• Identity solutions, including AD DS, Entra  Entra Connect
• Modern Workplace technologies, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Exchange, across cloud and on-premises environments
• Defender Suite, including Office 365, Endpoint, Cloud Apps, Cloud and Identity
• Purview, including Information Protection, Information Governance and Data Loss Prevention
• Azure, including compute, storage, networking, security, Infrastructure as Code and subscriptions
• Migration from on-premises solutions to the cloud, including file shares, Exchange, identity and Share Point
• On-premises technologies, including Entra , Hyper-V, VMware and network devices
