Calf Rearer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Calf Rearer to join a well-established farming operation in the Cheshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about young stock care and maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily care and management of calves
* Monitoring health and welfare, identifying early signs of illness
* Administering treatments and following veterinary guidance
* Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all on-farm SOPs
* Ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
* Working independently and as part of a wider team to meet productivity targets
* Operating machinery where required (telehandler, forklift, tractor, trailed straw chopper – desirable but not essential)
About You:
* Extensive calf-rearing experience
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
* Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Machinery experience would be an advantage
* Available to start as soon as possible
