If you have technical expertise and an analytical mindset, we need you on our team. You will diagnose faults and conduct root‑cause analysis for an advanced fleet across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, using electrical schematics, test equipment and diagnostic software.
As a valued member of the team, you will perform corrective actions and repairs on new trains in a depot setting to ensure passenger service availability and reliability. The role requires adaptability to a constantly changing environment and a drive to achieve results.
SalaryAs a Real Living Wage Employer, we offer a competitive salary. The role’s base pay is approximately £59,000 per annum.
Key Requirements- NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) plus at least 3 years of post‑apprenticeship experience.
- Experience detecting faults and conducting root‑cause analysis across multiple systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, and test and measuring equipment.
- Valid driver’s licence and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and both day and night shifts.
