Chester £26,436 per year40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Technician to join our team based in Chester. You will be working in the Estate Services team and cover various locations. Estate Services cover a wide range of duties which include cleaning of communal areas within schemes, offices and properties. Estate Services also carry out Grounds Maintenance works as well as Compliance Testing across Chester, Wirral, Merseyside, and occasionally parts of Manchester.
Therole of Cleaning Technician will include:
- General cleaning duties including mopping, vacuuming, wet and dry dusting
- Identifying and reporting potential hazards or faults on site, to maintain a safe environment
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of allocated work tasks
- Ensuring any tools and equipment that are used are maintained and in a good, workable condition also stock control to ensure levels are maintained
- Providing a professional, courteous and customer friendly approach to all working tasks
- Updating any paperwork required to be done during the working day
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to grade C GCSE English and Maths
- British Institute Certificate in cleaning services or willing to work towards
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) guidelines
- Some practical experience in operating cleaning machinery
- Ability to use and update computerised systems for work scheduling (company issued phone / PDA)
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
