The Role As a Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of production machinery and site utilities. Working closely with production teams and engineering colleagues, you'll help minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability, and ensure operations run smoothly.

Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase equipment performance.
Conduct routine machinery inspections, servicing, and repairs.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
Assist in maintaining a safe working environment and promote best practice in health and safety.
Support risk assessments, safe systems of work, permits to work, and compliance activities.
Participate in audits and help implement corrective actions where required.
Contribute to training and knowledge sharing within engineering and production teams.
Maintain accurate maintenance and safety records. What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial engineering environment.
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements within an engineering setting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Flexibility to provide shift cover and respond to major breakdowns when required. What's on Offer
Opportunity to work within a stable and growing manufacturing business.
Varied and challenging engineering work with modern production equipment.
Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Supportive team environment with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Competitive salary and benefits package. If you're an experienced engineer looking for your next challenge and want to be part of a business that values reliability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you
