About this opportunity

Are you ready to lead the development and optimisation of innovative marketing strategies? We're looking for an experienced marketing strategist to help us drive growth for Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Embedded Finance and the broader consumer lending business.

The Borrowing Full Funnel Marketing Team in Brands, Marketing and Experience (BMX) uses data and insight to understand customers' changing needs. We help customers feel confident about borrowing well now and in the future. Working closely with our channel partners (Accelerators), we coordinate marketing activities across segments, products, and channels to engage customers and drive growth for our unsecured lending business.

As Marketing Manager - Strategy & Performance, you'll be responsible for developing the Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) marketing strategy for unsecured lending, covering acquire, onboard, deepen and retain phases for key customer segments. You'll lead the strategy and plan definition, using all available customer and commercial understanding to encourage growth in the short and long term.

Partnering with a team of skilled marketers, you'll champion the development of performance insight across the full plan. This insight will support quality decisions that promote ongoing commercial growth across the full funnel. Join us and be part of an outstanding team committed to delivering results!

Experience required
  • Leadership & Innovation: Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver marketing initiatives at pace, using data and technology to test, learn, and scale new approaches. Experience in identifying marketing and consumer trends and adapting strategies to ride those waves.
  • Marketing Strategy & Planning: Proven ability in crafting and delivering full-funnel marketing plans and multi-channel (paid, owned, earned) campaigns. Your strategies should be fuelled by clear insight and strong analysis to drive acquisition, retention, and measurable growth. Ability to manage difficult trade-off decisions between collaborators and across teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to set, manage, and optimise large-scale marketing budgets (£m). You use data-driven decisions to improve commercial returns from marketing plans aligned to the Group strategy, balancing short- and long-term commercial ambitions.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Skilled at building relationships and influencing senior collaborators in complex organisations to secure agreement and lead change.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of working in unsecured (consumer) lending within a marketing team.
