Part‑Time Team Vicar at All Saints Macclesfield
The Bishop of Chester, in consultation with the Team Rector of St Michael’s and All Angels Macclesfield, is seeking to appoint a part‑time Team Vicar to All Saints Macclesfield for a period of five years initially.
All Saints is an active, friendly, supportive and welcoming congregation with a heart for its local community. Despite being without ordained leadership for two years, they have seen growth through their social and missional activities and are looking to the future with hope and confidence.
Macclesfield is a lively country town of 70,000 located in the east of Cheshire bordering Greater Manchester. It is a former industrial town famous for its production of silk. It is a popular place to live and benefits from transport links, excellent local schools and a vibrant mix of local amenities.

All Saints became part of the Macclesfield Team Parish in 1985, which changed in 2010 to a Team Ministry with four parishes. Plans are now underway to dissolve the Team, thus, while the person will be appointed as Team Vicar, it is expected that this will change soon and the person will need to be open to future possibilities and to leading the parish through a period of change and development.
In exchange for working part‑time (3.5 days per week plus Sunday morning services) you will receive housing and 50% of a stipend.
Accommodation is offered in a comfortable four‑bedroom vicarage in a quiet cul‑de‑sac within easy walking distance of All Saints.
