Practice Nurse

Job Summary

Join our team as a part‑time Practice Nurse (24 hours per week over 3/4 days) at Pelton and Fellrose Medical Group. Provide and maintain high standard of nursing care for patients, assist doctors and the Primary Healthcare Team.

• Document consultations according to NMC Guidelines.
• Support patients in long‑term condition management and carry out practice checks such as venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, diabetic foot checks.
• Run Well Person Clinics and Health Promotion Programmes, facilitate change with holistic assessment and lifestyle advice, including smoking, alcohol intake and exercise, NHS and new patient health checks.
• Perform cervical cytology tests.
• Perform suture removal.
• Undertake ECGs.
• Assist in provision of Minor Surgery and coil fittings.
• Have some experience in managing long‑term conditions or interest in developing this skill.

• RGN Qualification
• Current NMC Registration
• Cervical Cytology Qualification

• Accredited training in Chronic Disease Management
• Prescribing qualification

• Salary:
  Depends on experience.
• Contract:
  
  Fixed term, 12 months.
