We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Sales Account Manager to join our Clients growing team in the heart of Chester city centre, this role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, reactivating dormant accounts, and managing key client relationships to achieve agreed revenue, profit, and KPI targets.
The successful candidate will be confident engaging senior decision-makers, proactive in identifying profitable opportunities, and motivated by performance-based targets. You will work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, to support outbound sales activity while ensuring all client interactions and data are accurately recorded within company systems.
This is a target-driven, telephone-based sales role suited to a self-motivated individual with strong communication and negotiation skills who thrives in a fast-paced, results-focused environment. Role & Responsibilities- Proactively develop new business relationships, identifying, negotiating, and securing opportunities in line with agreed targets and KPIs
- Achieve daily activity targets set by the Director of Sales, including a minimum of 25 outbound calls per day
- Develop and grow existing client accounts, which will be assigned to you upon joining the company
- Confidently engage senior decision-makers via telephone, building long‑term relationships and positioning the company as a preferred supplier
- Consistently work towards individual and commercial team sales targets with a strong, professional telephone presence
- Identify and capitalise on profitable sales opportunities across the business
- Re‑engage and develop existing dormant accounts to maximise revenue potential
- Manage your workload independently while contributing as part of a collaborative and growing sales team
- Identify opportunities for new business, upselling, and cross‑selling across multiple service lines
- Drive multi‑divisional sales in line with personal and team performance targets while maintaining required profit margins
- Accurately record all prospect and client information obtained through daily activities within company systems
- Previous experience in a sales role within a service‑led industry
- Experience operating in a B2B sales environment
- Highly proactive, intuitive, and results‑driven, with a strong motivation to succeed financially
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage professionally at all levels
- Positive, enthusiastic, and resilient approach to work
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload to meet business objectives
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to influence and close effectively
