Full-time About the company

Basecamp Talent is partnering with a fast-growing luxury travel business to find a Luxury Sports Travel Specialist to join its team in Chester.

The business creates high-end, bespoke travel experiences around some of the world's biggest sporting events, from Formula 1 and football to golf, tennis and beyond.

Following a period of continued growth, they're looking for someone with experience in luxury travel sales who can build strong client relationships, turn enquiries into bookings and deliver the kind of personal service you'd expect when organising once in a lifetime trips.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join an ambitious, growing business where you'll have plenty of autonomy and the chance to play a real part in shaping its luxury sports travel offering.

About the role

This is a client-facing sales role, working with customers to create and book bespoke luxury sports travel experiences across destinations around the world.

You'll manage enquiries from initial conversation through to booking, taking the time to understand exactly what each client is looking for and creating tailored itineraries around their interests.

Alongside converting inbound enquiries, you'll build long-term relationships with clients, generate repeat business and referrals, and proactively identify new opportunities.

You'll also work closely with the wider product and marketing team to bring new travel experiences to market and make the most of upcoming sporting events.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients
  • Responding to enquiries and converting them into high-value bookings
  • Creating bespoke luxury travel itineraries around major sporting events
  • Delivering a personal, concierge-style service throughout the entire client journey
  • Building long-term relationships that generate repeat bookings and referrals
  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities
  • Working closely with the product and marketing team on upcoming destinations, events and packages
  • Keeping up to date with major sporting events, luxury destinations and travel trends
  • Taking ownership of your sales pipeline and working towards commercial targets
What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who already understands the luxury travel market and genuinely enjoys the sales and relationship-building side of the industry.

You'll ideally have:
  • Previous experience in luxury travel sales, ideally within a tour operator or similar travel business
  • A genuine interest in sport and sports travel, particularly major global sporting events such as Formula 1
  • Strong sales experience and a track record of converting enquiries into bookings
  • Good knowledge of luxury destinations and international travel
  • Confidence building relationships with high-net-worth clients
  • A commercial mindset and the confidence to proactively generate new business
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A personable, professional and client-first approach
  • An existing client network or 'black book' would be a bonus, but isn't essential
What you'll get
  • £28,000 – £30,000 salary depending on experience
  • Uncapped commission
  • Hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of three days per week in the Chester city centre office
  • Access to familiarisation trips and luxury travel experiences
  • Industry travel discounts
  • Invitations to exclusive events and networking opportunities
  • The opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting stage and have genuine input into its future

Typical working hours are 9am–5pm
, although flexibility is important. Luxury travel is a client-led industry, so there may occasionally be times when clients need support outside of standard working hours.

If you have experience selling luxury travel, love the world of sport and want a role where you can build genuine relationships with clients while creating incredible experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
