Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Protect customers' property, people and assets by providing security services in accordance with the site’s Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
• Deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, taking full responsibility and accountability to support contract retention.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, relevant legal and regulatory requirements, UK law, and guidance bodies as directed by the Security Account Manager.
• Complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
• Review and refer to the published Assignment Instructions, suggesting amendments that improve or enhance service levels.
• Maintain industry and statutory licence requirements (front‑line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, CCTV PSS SIA Licence) and renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.
• Follow instructions and procedures without unnecessarily challenging authority.
• Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
• Look out for, report and respond to health & safety hazards, threats or changes in the work environment, taking appropriate action to reduce risk.
• Notify emergency services and the Communication Centre of all incidents.
• Maintain accurate notebook entries and submit incident reports.
• Adhere to scheduled check‑calls and complete other operational duties.

• Complete all required competency training.
• Undergo additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager to support continuous self‑development.
• Use technology to achieve key work objectives and enhance job knowledge.

• Previous security experience.
• Valid SIA licence.
• SC clearance desirable.

• Flexible to work days, nights and weekends.
• Required to work across various locations in Greater Manchester, Leek, Buxton and the Crewe area.
