For over 30 years, our independent private practice has provided comprehensive medical eye care with a focus on ocular disease management. Our office is located in a medical complex in Chester, Virginia, minutes from the thriving mid-Atlantic city of Richmond.
You will work alongside an experienced clinical team practicing full-scope medical management, including ocular disease (glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy), infections, injuries, and surgical co-management.
Our office features five fully equipped exam lanes, a modern clinic utilizing a fully equipped diagnostic suite, including OCT, Visual Field, Anterior/Posterior Segment Digital Photography, Corneal Topography and a full-service optical. We manage a high volume of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, and surgical co-management, as well as routine vision care.

We are actively planning for the long-term succession of our senior partner. We are seeking an ambitious, clinically excellent Doctor of Optometry who wants to transition from a full-time associate into a co-owner over a structured timeline

What We Are Looking For- Education & Licensure:
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree with an active (or eligible) license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia - Patient-Centered Care: A motivated practitioner who values long-term patient relationships
- Leadership & Business Skills : A collaborative leader who can guide staff to grow alongside you and is interested in learning the operational side of a private practice office management and growth.
- Experience:
Experience is preferred, but we welcome new graduates with a focus on ocular disease.
We offer a highly competitive and transparent financial package designed to reward clinical growth and prepare you for equity:
Base Salary: $125,000 – $140,000+ (commensurate with experience/residency training).
Production Bonus: Percentage-based bonus on net collections
Comprehensive Benefits: Health insurance, Simple IRA with 3% match, paid holiday and vacation time off (with no weekend hours), full malpractice coverage, a generous Continuing Education (CE) stipend, Virginia Board of Optometry license renewal fees, VOA, AOA, and ROS dues.

The team provides full-scope optometric care, including routine eye exams, custom contact lens fittings, treatment and management of eye diseases, and LASIK refractive surgery consultation and co-management. The practice also delivers pre-surgical and post-surgical care to support long-term vision health.
