Assistant Quality Engineer
Position Summary:
The Assistant Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting leadership on quality of work performed at project sites.

- The Assistant Quality Engineer supports the project team from preconstruction planning through project completion.
- Supports the project team during reviews of drawings and submittals to ensure conformance with project requirements.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory test equipment.
- Perform inventory and document material deliveries. Verify quantities and assist with coordination of and tracking of deliveries.
- Samples and test soil, CCR, concrete and geosynthetic materials, as required, to verify conformance with project specifications.
- Reviews test reports provided by the third‑party testing firm to identify any errors, discrepancies, or deficiencies.
- Communicates regularly with Project Managers to provide quality control updates and advise of issues or problems that may affect progress.
- Assist jobsite leadership with resolution of client complaints that are quality related.
- Provides support to project team, as needed, to include Health and Safety, Environmental, and Operations tasks.
- Monitor quality practices daily, along with ongoing inspections to minimize the need for corrections and punch‑list items.
- Implement the delegated authority to stop work in the event of quality issues.
- Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance with respect to timeliness, efficiency, and quality.
- Prepares and submits reports involving inventory, calibrations, document control logs, ongoing and completed work items, weather conditions, and quality issues.
- Enforce and champion the requirements of the site quality program (including the processing of any required revisions) and other project quality and technical requirements.
- Perform physical inspection of a variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to piping, civil, concrete, fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non‑destructive testing.
- Performs additional assignments per Quality Manager’s request.
- Proficiency with all necessary technological tools, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to use other software as necessary.
- Ability to professionally represent the Company when dealing with external organizations, regulatory bodies and with all organizational levels internally.
