This position is responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance of all equipment utilized for the FGD Operation.

Responsibilities

* Perform preventive maintenance work orders on plant electrical and mechanical equipment as schedule requires

* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule. This could include replacing bearings, adjusting equipment, part replacement and repair of damage

* Monitor all production equipment for operational performance. Work with plant management to improve performance

* Resolve all electrical and PLC controls problems in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule. This could include replacing motors, sensors, PLC programing and controls monitoring

* Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers

* Keep the assigned area organized and clean

* Work occasional weekend, holiday, and/or overtime

* Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management

Qualifications

* Valid driver's license required

* A minimum of five years' experience working in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic/electrician required

* Extensive knowledge of mechanical millwright procedures preferred

* Knowledge of PLC's, process controls, latter logic and Wonder Ware software preferred

* Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and plumbing procedures preferred

* High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school or trade school in mechanical and electrical areas preferred

* Working knowledge of materials, methods, and procedures involved in a manufacturing environment preferred

* Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance preferred

Work Environment & Conditions

* This position requires a flexible work schedule: nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime

* Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time

* Must be able to display eye to hand coordination; depth perception required.

* Must be able to manipulate small parts with hands.

* Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction

* Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

* Be subject to loud noises

* Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation

* This position requires working in the internal and external environment

* Ability to work independently and as a team
