Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage, Food Service, Starbucks) (T1017) role at Target.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and engage with guests to help solve their needs.
• Assist guests and provide helpful, friendly service; thank guests for shopping at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to support business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
• Perform processes such as changing prices, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store and area to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work in a safe manner and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws).
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

• Ability to work independently and with a team; resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders when required and handle/move merchandise safely, including heavy items.
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions for appropriate duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift; shift length may vary.
