Job Description – Diesel Service Technician – Heavy Equipment
Sign-On Bonus: $1,500. Employee Referral Eligible.

What You’ll Do- Promote Safety. Actively prioritize safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment operating throughout the plant to maximize performance and limit downtime.
- Inspect Equipment and Materials. Identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors; perform repairs when necessary.
- Handle and Move Objects. Safely handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools throughout the shop and plant.
- Document and Record Information. Ensure accurate documentation of all mobile equipment daily and monthly; enter and maintain service reports electronically or in written form.
- Operate Equipment. Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant when required.
- Perform General Physical Activities. Move the body, lift, balance, walk, stoop, and handle materials.
- Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Best Practices. General principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment preferred.
- Flexibility. Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and in all weather conditions; tolerate loud noises.
- Mechanical Skills. Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
- Hourly Range: $22.59 – $32.22 (does not include discretionary bonus or equity package).
