Job Description – Diesel Service Technician – Heavy Equipment

• Promote Safety. Actively prioritize safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment operating throughout the plant to maximize performance and limit downtime.
• Inspect Equipment and Materials. Identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors; perform repairs when necessary.
• Handle and Move Objects. Safely handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools throughout the shop and plant.
• Document and Record Information. Ensure accurate documentation of all mobile equipment daily and monthly; enter and maintain service reports electronically or in written form.
• Operate Equipment. Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant when required.
• Perform General Physical Activities. Move the body, lift, balance, walk, stoop, and handle materials.
• Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of Best Practices. General principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Flexibility. Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and in all weather conditions; tolerate loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills. Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

• Hourly Range: $22.59 – $32.22 (does not include discretionary bonus or equity package).
