A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced and driven Chief Structural Engineer to lead complex industrial projects and mentor a growing team of engineers and designers. This is a high‑impact opportunity to shape the structural integrity of heavy industrial facilities, including vibrating equipment foundations, silos, retaining walls, and process infrastructure.

Base Pay Range

$/yr - $/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the structural scope on multi-discipline projects and manage a team of engineers and designers.
  • Oversee design deliverables, budgets, schedules, and client communication, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform advanced structural design including steel framing, concrete systems, and civil sitework.
  • Develop structural analysis models using STAAD, RISA, and finite element tools.
  • Lead project meetings, prepare documentation, and manage execution.
  • Conduct site visits for condition assessments, failure investigations, and data gathering.
  • Oversee construction document preparation and review.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.
  • Support proposal development and sales efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with codes including IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, and AWS.
What They're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering for heavy industrial projects.
  • PE license required; SE preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD, RISA.
  • Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry design.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
