A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced and driven Chief Structural Engineer to lead complex industrial projects and mentor a growing team of engineers and designers. This is a high‑impact opportunity to shape the structural integrity of heavy industrial facilities, including vibrating equipment foundations, silos, retaining walls, and process infrastructure.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Lead the structural scope on multi-discipline projects and manage a team of engineers and designers.
- Oversee design deliverables, budgets, schedules, and client communication, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform advanced structural design including steel framing, concrete systems, and civil sitework.
- Develop structural analysis models using STAAD, RISA, and finite element tools.
- Lead project meetings, prepare documentation, and manage execution.
- Conduct site visits for condition assessments, failure investigations, and data gathering.
- Oversee construction document preparation and review.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers.
- Support proposal development and sales efforts.
- Ensure compliance with codes including IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, and AWS.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering for heavy industrial projects.
- PE license required; SE preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD, RISA.
- Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry design.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
