Overview

Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, and monitors patient medication therapy. Serves as a resource for medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, and regulatory standards in executing job responsibilities.
