What You'll DoProvide accounts & audit support to a busy Accountancy Practice.
Duties include:
- Assisting managers with a portfolio of clients
- Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- VAT Returns
- Corporation tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- Partnership tax returns
- Client Bookkeeping
- Preparation of P11ds

What You'll LearnCourse contents:
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data‑security requirements, including backing up data.
This apprenticeship is ideal for someone without any accountancy or bookkeeping knowledge. You will learn the building blocks of modern accounting, fundamentals of bookkeeping, and develop vital skills to apply knowledge in practice.
Requirements Essential QualificationsGCSE or equivalent in Maths & English (grade 4 and above).
