WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

THE ROLE
As an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor, you'll play a vital role in managing the repair journey from initial vehicle inspection through to completed repair authorisation. Working closely with customers, insurers, technicians and workshop management, you'll ensure repairs are accurately estimated, commercially viable and completed to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Inspect damaged vehicles and prepare accurate repair estimates using Audatex or equivalent estimating systems.
· Assess vehicle damage in line with manufacturer repair methods and industry best practice.
· Liaise with insurance engineers, customers and repair networks to obtain repair approvals and authorisations.
· Monitor repairs throughout the repair process, updating estimates where additional damage is identified.
· Work closely with Workshop Controllers, Bodyshop Managers and Technicians to ensure efficient repair planning and vehicle progression.
· Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer standards, company procedures and quality requirements.
· Deliver outstanding customer service by keeping customers informed throughout the repair process.
· Maintain accurate documentation while supporting workshop productivity and commercial performance.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Vehicle Damage Assessor who combines excellent technical knowledge with strong communication and organisational skills.
You'll ideally have:
· Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Bodyshop Estimator within an automotive accident repair centre.
· ATA or IMI Vehicle Damage Assessor Accreditation (preferred but not essential).
· Strong experience using Audatex or similar estimating software.
· Excellent understanding of vehicle construction, repair methods and insurance estimating procedures.
· Experience working with insurance companies, manufacturers and repair networks.
· Strong negotiation, communication and customer service skills.
· High attention to detail with excellent organisational and workload management abilities.
· The ability to prioritise multiple estimates while working in a fast-paced environment.
· A proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
· Full UK Driving Licence.
