We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a live reservoir upgrade project, overseeing a range of improvement works including access road alterations and associated site upgrades.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities and subcontractors.
- Oversee reservoir upgrade works and modifications to the site access road.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress and ensure programme requirements are met.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure all works comply with RAMS and project requirements.
- Manage and monitor temporary works on site.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and documentation.
- Liaise with the project management team, subcontractors and other site personnel.
- Ensure a strong focus on health, safety and environmental requirements throughout the works.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within a relevant construction/civil engineering environment.
- Previous experience working on reservoir, infrastructure, civils, highways or similar projects would be highly beneficial.
- Previous experience with shuttering joinery, reinforced concrete and rebar essential.
- SMSTS - essential.
- Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualification/experience - essential.
- Relevant CSCS card - essential
- Strong understanding of health & safety, RAMS and site procedures.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site activities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Previous experience working night shifts is desirable.
- Immediate start
- Freelance contract
- Night shift: 3:00pm - 1:00am
