Barlborough is an Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery Hospital. You will provide anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics and spinal surgery, working within a state‑of‑the‑art team delivering advanced techniques that enable same‑day discharge after knee and hip replacement surgery. You will perform pre‑ and post‑operative assessment and give written information to patients’ GPs. You will collaborate closely with Consultants across a range of specialisms, the Medical Director, and local Leadership Team, and contribute to the development of Clinical Quality Standards, audit and clinical governance.

With GMC specialist register status, you will have several years’ experience, at least 2 within the UK. You are committed to continuing medical education and professional development. We support ongoing medical competence through annual revalidation and reaccreditation with the GMC and Royal College of Anaesthetists, and through our in‑house education programme.
