Special educational Teaching assistant - SEMH. Education & Training

Teacher Active are working closely with a SEND (Special and educational needs) school within Chesterfield who are looking for highly enthusiastic and passionate SEMH teaching assistant to join them in January 2026 for a long term placement.

The ideal candidate will be people whose passion it is to support these students and will strive to do a brilliant job every time they come to work.

In this role you will work with students who need emotional support and you will need to be able to nurture to empower them to access the curriculum.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will:

• Need to assist individuals and small groups of children in social and emotional development and learning.
• Be highly supportive of each student.
• Be patient and understanding.
• Strive to make a positive impact.
• Have a passion for working within an SEND school.
