Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is an 11-16 academy based in the large, friendly, Derbyshire town of Chesterfield, near Derby and Sheffield. The Role

Are you an exceptionally organised and meticulous professional with deep knowledge of examination procedures and data management systems? Do you thrive in a high‑stakes environment where accuracy and adherence to national regulations are paramount to student success? The purpose of this post is to ensure the accurate management and running of all examinations, and maintain accurate pupil tracking data to assist leaders in raising standards.
Responsibilities- The Officer manages all administrative and operational aspects of examinations, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with JCQ regulations. This includes managing the MIS for entries, liaising with boards, overseeing invigilation timetabling, training and supervising invigilators, and managing the security and distribution of examination papers and results.
- The role also involves critical data management: coordinating the student census, using ‘Praising Stars’ for pupil tracking, undertaking statistical analysis of assessment data and trends for departmental managers and SLT, and producing reports to identify underachieving students. They provide all parents with student assessment data.
- A Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
- Essential experience includes working with statistical analysis, management information and data collection, as well as assisting with or organising educational examinations.
- Candidates should possess the ability to effectively communicate, use standard ICT packages, particularly Excel, and work well under pressure while managing competing deadlines.
- A key skill is the ability to analyse data and present it clearly.
- Experience in the use of educational management information systems, including SIMS, is desirable.
