Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is an 11-16 academy based in the large, friendly, Derbyshire town of Chesterfield, near Derby and Sheffield.

The Academy became part of the Outwood Family of Schools in 2021 and as part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, we are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning.

As part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust we offer our colleagues extensive CPD opportunities and are committed to the Outwood vision of putting students first, raising standards and transforming lives.

We believe we are on a journey to Outstanding. Help to take us to the next level.

We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

All academies within the Outwood Family have gained the IQM Inclusive Schools Award with 18 having Centre of Excellence status and one holding Flagship status.

Outwood Academy Hasland Hall has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and inspirational Inclusion department, supporting our students in the Learning Resource centre. This rewarding position would suit someone working in a school with experience of supporting the learning of students; someone looking to further progress their career in an educational environment.

The role is permanent and you would be instrumental in supporting our amazing students, assisting them by creating a culture of success, ensuring they have a positive attitude to learning to increase their life chances, attainment and social and emotional development.

A key priority of the role is increasing the Literacy levels of our students, especially those who may face obstacles developing their literacy skills. This may include group work with students who may be disadvantaged within elements of their education. There is scope for creativity and themed events within the Academy and interaction and support with all curriculum areas.

Working hours are 37 hours per week.
