Hours:

37 HRS p/wk, Monday - Friday.

Contract:

Term Time - (40 weeks). Salary banding:
Grade: 6;

Ian Cooper. Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is an 11-16 academy based in the Derbyshire town of Chesterfield, near Derby and Sheffield. The Academy joined the Outwood Family of Schools in 2021 and is part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Outwood Academy Hasland Hall has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Inclusion department, supporting students in the Learning Resource Centre. This permanent role involves supporting students by creating a culture of success and helping them develop a positive attitude to learning to improve life chances, attainment and social and emotional development. A key priority is increasing literacy levels, especially for students who may face obstacles developing literacy skills, including group work with disadvantaged students.

There is scope for creativity and interaction with all curriculum areas. Working hours are 37 per week.

Responsibilities
  • Support learning in the Learning Resource Centre to create a culture of success and a positive attitude to learning.
  • Assist with literacy development and provide targeted support for students facing literacy obstacles.
  • Deliver group work and interact with various curriculum areas as required.
  • Contribute to activities and events that promote inclusive, high-quality learning experiences.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of supporting student learning in a school or similar environment.
  • Ability to work with students across key stages and to support literacy development.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing CPD opportunities and collaborate with colleagues.
