Trs... (Trusted recruitment on behalf of a respected trust of specialist schools in Chesterfield) seeks an experienced PRU Teacher to work across alternative provision settings. The role involves supporting students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs within a Pupil Referral Unit environment, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons while providing consistent behavioural and emotional support.

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of abilities.
• Provide consistent behavioural and emotional support to students.
• Manage challenging behaviour and apply de‑escalation strategies.
• Build positive relationships with students and create a safe, structured, supportive learning environment.
• Promote both academic and personal development for vulnerable young people.

• Held Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience working within a PRU or alternative provision setting.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs.
• Confidence in behaviour management and de‑escalation techniques.
• Resilience, adaptability and strong communication skills.
• Passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
