This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils with additional needs reach their full potential.

About the Role
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional needs).
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting activities, resources and learning environments to promote accessibility and engagement.
  • Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe, confident and supported throughout the school day.
  • Support behaviour management through calm, nurturing and consistent approaches.
  • Contribute to progress monitoring, working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Help create an inclusive classroom where every child is valued and able to thrive.
About You
  • Have experience supporting children with SEN (school or in a transferable setting).
  • Are patient, empathetic and confident working with a variety of additional needs.
  • Communicate clearly, calmly and professionally with pupils and staff.
  • Can adapt quickly, use your initiative and remain positive under pressure.
  • Are passionate about making education accessible and enjoyable for all learners.
  • Hold relevant training (such as Autism, Team Teach, safeguarding) desirable but not essential.
