We are currently recruiting on behalf of a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Chesterfield seeking dedicated Year 2 Teachers to join their teams. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop your career, we would love to hear from you.

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils in preparation for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and wellbeing.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Is passionate about inspiring young learners and helping them succeed.
• Has strong communication and organisational skills.
• Possesses an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position; in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
