We are looking to appoint enthusiastic Teachers of Science with strong background in Health science or the ability to teach the science T Level in Health. Candidates should have good subject knowledge, a passion for Science, and a desire to inspire students.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and use a wide range of teaching and learning strategies within the classroom, applying Assessment for Learning (AfL) techniques to improve student performance.
- Use student level data to identify development areas and raise standards.
- Apply strategies to enhance the learning and achievement of all students and stay up to date with curriculum developments in the subject.
- Maintain high expectations for all students and communicate effectively with students and parents, both orally and in writing.
- Work collaboratively with the team, sharing good practice, demonstrating creativity in problem solving and a willingness to adopt new approaches.
- Degree in an appropriate discipline related to the subject area.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and teaching qualification.
- Recent and relevant teaching experience in Key Stage 3 and 4, including assessment experience.
- Confidence in using standard computer packages (word, email, spreadsheets).
- Professionalism, ability to relate to students, and recognition of safeguarding issues.
