Overview

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic Teachers of Science with strong background in Health science or the ability to teach the science T Level in Health. Candidates should have good subject knowledge, a passion for Science, and a desire to inspire students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and use a wide range of teaching and learning strategies within the classroom, applying Assessment for Learning (AfL) techniques to improve student performance.
  • Use student level data to identify development areas and raise standards.
  • Apply strategies to enhance the learning and achievement of all students and stay up to date with curriculum developments in the subject.
  • Maintain high expectations for all students and communicate effectively with students and parents, both orally and in writing.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, sharing good practice, demonstrating creativity in problem solving and a willingness to adopt new approaches.
Qualifications
  • Degree in an appropriate discipline related to the subject area.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and teaching qualification.
  • Recent and relevant teaching experience in Key Stage 3 and 4, including assessment experience.
  • Confidence in using standard computer packages (word, email, spreadsheets).
  • Professionalism, ability to relate to students, and recognition of safeguarding issues.
