We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Chesterfield. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in achieving their full potential and to work alongside a committed team of professionals who are passionate about delivering the highest standards of education and care.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, helping to create a positive and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the planning and delivery of high-quality learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.

• Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote learning, progress, and independence.

• Provide targeted intervention and support programmes where required.

• Assist in monitoring, recording, and reporting on pupil progress.

• Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusion and access to learning opportunities.

• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school and support school events and activities where appropriate.

• Holds a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

• Has experience working with primary-aged children.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of child development and effective learning strategies.

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

• Is patient, flexible, and committed to supporting all children to succeed.

• Has strong literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills.

• Works effectively as part of a team and can use their own initiative when required.

Experience supporting children with SEND would be advantageous but is not essential.
