Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support schools across Chesterfield. This rewarding role is ideal for a confident and enthusiastic education professional who is committed to helping pupils achieve their best.
Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging learning experiences, supporting pupil development, and leading classes when required.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities across a range of subjects.
- Provide whole-class supervision in the absence of the teacher.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Deliver targeted interventions to raise attainment and close learning gaps.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- HLTA status or relevant equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working within a primary, secondary, or SEND setting.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
