The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting teachers and helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.
Depending on your placement, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group interventions where required
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence and engagement with learning
- Assist with classroom organisation and the preparation of learning resources
- Support positive behaviour in line with school policies
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
- Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children or young people within a school, childcare or similar setting is highly desirable
- A positive, patient and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
- The Right to Work in the UK
