Biology Adjunct

Hiring Range: $793-$1,693 per credit hour.

Full Time or Part Time: Part Time

Biology Adjunct at Brightpoint Community College, a two-year public institution in the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. The college serves students and the community across its Chester and Midlothian campuses, online, and service sites. Mission: provide quality educational opportunities that inspire student success and community vitality.

FLSA: Exempt

Seeking instructors for on-campus (in-person) courses only. Responsibilities include providing traditional delivery instruction in the discipline of Biology.

• Teach courses in the discipline including General Biology I & II, Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology for Health Science, and General Environmental Science at either the Chester or Midlothian campus.
• Exercise adherence to course objectives and college policies; maintain student engagement and assess learning outcomes.
• Ensure successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.

• Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the specific discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
• Ability to use instructional technologies.
