Brightpoint Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education serving students and the community in the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. The college operates campuses in Chester and Midlothian, online, and at other locations within its service area. The college’s mission is to provide quality educational opportunities that inspire student success and community vitality.

• Provide traditional on-campus (in-person) instruction at the Chester or Midlothian campus.
• Teach courses in the discipline, including General Chemistry I & II, Introductory Chemistry, Survey of Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.
• Complete teaching duties in accordance with adjunct limits: up to 8 credit hours in summer, 12 credit hours in fall, and 12 credit hours in spring (total number of credit hours taught in Virginia’s Community Colleges).
• Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.

• Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the specific discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level is preferred.
• Ability to use instructional technologies.
