Brightpoint Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education within the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. It serves students and the community at its two campuses, in Chester and Midlothian, online, and at locations throughout its service area. The college’s mission is to provide quality educational opportunities that inspire student success and community vitality.

Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester. These limits are for total number of credit hours taught within the Virginia Community Colleges System (VCCS). Additional restrictions may apply depending upon other positions occupied within VCCS. Seeking instructors for on-campus (in-person) courses only.

• Provide traditional delivery instruction on either the Chester or Midlothian campus of Brightpoint Community College.
• Teach courses in the discipline, including developmental math, Basic Technical Mathematics, Fundamentals of Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Precalculus I & II, Statistics, Applied Calculus, Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra.
• Ensure successful completion and passing of a criminal background check as required.

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the specific discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
• Ability to use instructional technologies.
