Salary: £107.71 - £117 per day (dependent on experience)

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Chesterfield is looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils both within the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Whether you're an experienced Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or have transferable experience working with children, we'd love to hear from you.

• Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help children achieve their learning goals.
• Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote confidence and independence.
• Assist in creating an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

• Has previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
• Is patient, caring and passionate about supporting children's learning.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
• Has a flexible and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs.
• Knowledge of phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions.
