Teaching Personnel are currently looking for passionate and dedicated Primary SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils across schools in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.
We are working with a number of welcoming primary schools who are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Whether you have experience with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, behavioural needs or other additional needs, we would love to hear from you.
The Role- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Work closely with teachers and SENDCOs to support individual learning plans.
- Help pupils access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence.
- Support children with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Use a range of strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Assist with classroom activities and general Teaching Assistant duties.
- Promote an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment.
- Experienced in working with children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting.
- Patient, empathetic and nurturing.
- Confident supporting children on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
- Able to adapt their approach to meet individual needs.
- Passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
- Reliable, professional and committed to making a positive difference.
- Ideally hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, although relevant experience will also be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
