BIM Technician

Salary: Up to £42,000
RoleAs the BIM Technician you will join our busy BIM Team to support the BIM Manager with BIM coordination and producing CAD designs for complex fire, life safety, electronic security systems and network infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities- Producing and amending CAD designs, construction and as‑fitted models using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Creating take‑offs from models and presenting within an Excel spreadsheet.
- Designing life safety and security systems (with guidance from Design Engineers).
- Creating schematics and electrical wiring diagrams as needed.
- Exporting DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.
- Taking an active role in continuous improvement of company systems.
- Providing reports as appropriate to your Line Manager.
- Producing clash detection reports.
- Being involved in weekly BIM coordination meetings and actioning any issues.
- Maintaining weekly model uploads for the live project.
- Computer literate and proficient in all core Microsoft Office packages.
- Prior experience of Revit & AutoCAD software.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Honest, trustworthy and maintain strict confidentiality when handling finance and tenders.
- Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers and outside bodies.
- Ability to work using your own initiative.
- Previous experience within a related field.
- Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience using Revit MEP.
- Proficiency in a European language (desirable but not essential).
The role is based in our Dronfield office, an open‑plan office environment with multi‑screen computer use. On occasion the role may require you to attend other offices.

- Compliance to associated accreditation body schemes from NSI, BAFE, LPCB, FIA and others as required.
- Maximise customer satisfaction with the services provided.
- Working to reduce, renew and recycle waste on and off our sites including our offices.
- Protect the environment and avoid use of toxic materials where possible.
- Work to best safe practice and ensure actions do not cause harm to themselves or others.
- Employees will not tamper with issued PPE or plant machinery that may cause harm.
- Ensure all minimum training requirements are met in compliance with relevant ISO standards.
- Ensure that any IT incidents are effectively reported and resolved in a timely fashion.
- Maintain a clear desk and screen at all times.
- Compliance to ensure no deliberate breaches in security information or systems.
