KO2's client, an innovative engineering company based in Chesterfield, is looking to recruit a talented Electronics & Mechanical Engineer to join their growing multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge products from concept through to production, combining both electronic and mechanical design expertise.

The Role

As an Electronics & Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, testing, and improvement of bespoke engineered systems. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved across the full product lifecycle, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electronic circuits (analogue and digital)
Create and modify PCB layouts
Mechanical design using 3D CAD (enclosures, housings, assemblies)
Prototype build, test, and validation
Support product transition from design to manufacture
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners

Skills & Experience Required

Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong experience in both electronic circuit design and mechanical design
Proficiency with PCB design tools
Experience using 3D CAD software (Solid Works ideally)
Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable Experience

Embedded systems knowledge
Firmware development (C/C++)
Project management exposure
