Mechanical and Electrical Estimator

Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a new opportunity for a well-established M&E organisation, who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who comes from a mechanical background within Estimating/Quantity Surveying or even Contracts/Project Management. The role will include:
Reviewing project plans, specifications and related documentation in order to understand scope of work and mechanical requirements Analyse engineering drawings, blueprints and other technical documentation in order to provide an accurate estimate Proposing an accurate and competitive estimate and budget which will include mechanical systems, labour, materials, equipment, permits and any other costs Performing take-offs and quantity surveys of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems Identify potential risks and challenges and proposing effective solutions Evaluating bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers Who we are looking for:
Proven experience working within the mechanical and electrical industry In depth knowledge of mechanical systems including HVACM, plumbing, piping and fire protection Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Strong mathematical and analytical skills Strong negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing Knowledge of building codes, regulations and industry best practices Please note you will need to commute to Epsom on a daily basis.
