Interim Financial Accountant

Interim Financial Accountant 6-Month Contract Hybrid (1 day from home, Chesterfield)

Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a growing finance team to recruit a fully qualified ACA or ACCA Financial Accountant on an interim basis. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to financial reporting and accounting processes within a complex, service-based environment.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting under IFRS and supporting the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements in line with IFRS

• Technical accounting support, including interpretation and application of IFRS standards

• Balance sheet reviews and reconciliations

• Supporting audits and acting as a key contact for external auditors

• Assisting with improvements to financial controls, processes, and reporting

• Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and support to senior stakeholders

About You:

• Fully qualified ACA or ACCA

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, ideally gained in audit or financial reporting within practice

• Experience working with larger or complex organisations is advantageous

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive and inquisitive mindset

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with non-finance stakeholders
