Accounts Assistant

A growing and fast-paced business in Chesterfield is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their supportive finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment, and wants exposure across all areas of transactional finance.

This role sits within a fast-paced finance function with responsibility spanning end-to-end transactional finance, including billing, accounts payable, receivables, reconciliations, and reporting across multiple currencies and revenue streams. It's a hands-on position managing high transaction volumes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial control across all processes.

• Purchase ledger processing and invoice management
• Sales ledger, billing, and credit control support
• Bank reconciliations
• Cash allocation and transaction processing
• Supplier and customer query resolution
• Supporting reporting and month-end processes
• Maintaining accurate financial records across all ledgers
• Assisting with wider finance duties as required

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes
• Confident working in a fast-paced, transactional environment
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach
• Team player with a willingness to get involved across the function
