Director,sowouldbeidealforanexperiencedfinanceprofessionalwhoisreadyfortheirnextstepintheircareer.
As Group Financial Controller ,you'lltakeresponsibilityforthedaytodayandstrategicfinancialmanagementofthegroup,ensuringrobustfinancialcontrolwhileprovidingthecommercialinsightrequiredtosupportdecisionmaking.
You'llhaveabroadremitacrossfinance,including:
- Takingownershipofthegroup'sfullfinancefunction(youneedtobecomfortablebeinghandson)
- Producingaccurateandinsightfulmonthlymanagementaccounts
- Leadingthemonthendandyearendprocesses
- Preparingmonthlygrouplevelfinancialandcommercialreporting
- Providingseniormanagementwithclearanalysis,commentaryandrecommendations
- Developing budgets,forecastsandcashflowreporting
- Monitoringperformanceagainstbudgetsandforecasts
- Supportingcommercialdecisionmakingthroughmeaningfulfinancialanalysis
- Reviewing margins,profitabilityandkeybusinessdrivers
- Improvingfinancialprocesses,controlsandsystems
- Workingcloselywithoperationalandcommercialteamstounderstandbusinessperformance
- Managingrelationshipswithexternalaccountants,auditors,banksandotherprofessionaladvisers
- Supportingstatutoryreportingandcompliance
- Overseeing VAT,taxandotherrelevantfinancialobligations
- Ensuringstrongfinancialcontrolsandgovernanceacrossthegroup
- Identifyingopportunitiestoimproveefficiency,profitabilityandfinancialvisibility
- Supportingtheownersandseniorleadershipteamwithadhocanalysisandstrategicprojects
Thisrolewouldsuitsomeonewhoispotentiallyalreadyoperatingat Management Accountant /Senior Management Accountant level ,ornumber1infinanceandkeentostepintoaseniorfinanceposition.
ExperiencewithinanSMEwouldbehighlybeneficial,particularlywhereyou'vehadbroadexposuretothefullfinancefunctionandenjoyaddingcommercialvaluetothebusiness.
Youwillneedtobe:
- Someonewithstrongtechnicalaccountingandfinancialcontrolskills
- Commerciallymindedwiththeabilitytodigintowhatthenumbersactuallymeanforthewiderbusiness
- Abletomovecomfortablybetweendetailedfinancialworkandhighlevelcommercialreporting
- Confidentinreportingandpresentingfinancialinformationtononfinancestakeholdersinameaningfulandinsightfulway
