Support Worker, Mental Health

Overview

Mental Health Support Worker. Pay rate: £14.18 per hour flat rate. Shift Pattern: 36 hours per week - Day Shifts - 8:00am - 20:00pm.

• Provide support with daily living tasks as needed, while promoting independence.
• Assist with financial management, as all spending must be requested through the team.
• Support mental health needs and respond appropriately to any challenging behaviours that may arise.
• The successful applicant will be available to work full time, hold a full UK driving licence, and have previous experience working within mental health services.

• Non-judgemental and supportive in mentoring someone who may make unwise decisions (e.g., around relationships, substances)
• Passionate about supporting people to build healthy routines and boundaries
• Able to de-escalate situations with empathy and confidence
• Interested in music, fitness, or social activities – someone who can really connect with the client on a personal level

• Working with people with mental health diagnoses, especially personality disorder
• Supporting individuals with learning disabilities
• Experience in guiding someone with risky or impulsive behaviours

Acuity Care Group is a Supported Living healthcare provider, comprising 3 specialist business divisions: LD&A – Learning Disabilities & Autism, Bespoke, Team Brain Injury. This role sits within our LD&A family, and you will be supported by an experienced hands-on Team Leader.

We work together in a wide variety of locations to support adults and children with complex care needs, and a range of both physical and mental disabilities.
