Overview
CAMHS Consultant Clinical Psychologist role at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The closing date is 27 February 2026.
We are looking to recruit a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to provide a lead role across CAMHS for working with young people with learning disabilities and Autism. The post-holder will have expert highly specialist knowledge in this area and provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with learning disabilities and Autism in CAMHS.
You will be part of the CAMHS clinical leadership team and be well supported by them and the other Consultant Psychologist in post. Our CAMHS service has a strong track record for developing staff and providing continuing professional development opportunities. Supervision is seen as crucial and all staff are offered protected time.
The post holder will support the delivery of the CAMHS Care Unit leadership functions including but not limited to governance, service development and workforce planning. The postholder will have a particular focus on risk in governance and maintain an overview for CAMHS. They will also provide a lead role for SEND.

There will be some opportunities to carry out work at one of our other bases in the historic market town of Chesterfield: either at our main hospital on a greenfield site with abundant countryside and lovely views or our newer CAMHS base (where some therapy clinics are currently based) ideally located near Chesterfield train station and the town centre.
