What you will do
- Laboratory Testing: Perform routine and specialist analytical testing on biological samples in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets current policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Team
Collaboration:
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient diagnosis and care. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation.
- Equipment Management: Oversee laboratory equipment and ensure appropriate stock and maintenance.
- Training Support: Provide guidance and support to junior staff and laboratory assistants.
- Service Development: Contribute to continuous improvement, research, and development within the department.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Registration: HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ NHS experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
- Skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and understanding of laboratory processes.
- Driving: A UK driving licence is desirable for travel between sites.
