Are you an experienced project leader with a background in heavy industry, manufacturing, engineering, or large-scale infrastructure projects?

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of major capital investment programmes across complex industrial operations. This is a high-profile position offering the opportunity to influence long-term business strategy, manage substantial project budgets, and work with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, commercial, and executive teams.

This role will lead the planning, development and delivery of large-scale engineering and industrial projects from early concept through to implementation. Working within a highly regulated and technically challenging environment, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are developed with a clear business case, robust governance, effective risk management and a focus on operational excellence.
You will collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including engineering specialists, contractors, consultants, suppliers and senior business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead major capital projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop project strategies, business cases and investment proposals.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and risk programmes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and external partners.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Provide clear reporting and governance to senior leadership teams.
• Drive project performance, value creation and continuous improvement.

What They're Looking For:

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience delivering large-scale capital projects within an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of project governance, commercial management and risk assessment.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder groups across multiple functions.
• Proven ability to lead projects involving engineering, construction and operational teams.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
• Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, complex organisations.
• Ideal Sector Backgrounds:
  Cement, Quarrying, Aggregates, Petrochemicals, Steel & Metals.
