Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of major capital investment programmes across complex industrial operations. This is a high-profile position offering the opportunity to influence long-term business strategy, manage substantial project budgets, and work with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, commercial, and executive teams.
This role will lead the planning, development, and delivery of large-scale engineering and industrial projects from early concept through to implementation. Working within a highly regulated and technically challenging environment, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are developed with a clear business case, robust governance, effective risk management and a focus on operational excellence.
You will collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including engineering specialists, contractors, consultants, suppliers and senior business leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead major capital projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project strategies, business cases and investment proposals.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and risk programmes.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and external partners.
- Oversee engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and regulatory standards.
- Provide clear reporting and governance to senior leadership teams.
- Drive project performance, value creation and continuous improvement.
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Significant experience delivering large-scale capital projects within an industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of project governance, commercial management and risk assessment.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder groups across multiple functions.
- Proven ability to lead projects involving engineering, construction and operational teams.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, complex organisations.
